2026

Welcome to the Ocean Decade Collaborative Centre for a Sustainable Ocean Economy, an initiative promoted within the framework of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development 2021–2030.

The initiative was jointly presented by Barcelona City Council, the Government of Catalonia, and the Port of Barcelona. Subsequently, the promoting entities agreed to entrust its implementation to the Fundació Barcelona Capital Nàutica, which leads the development and coordination of the Centre.

From Barcelona, the DCC-SOE works to promote a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable ocean economy, connecting knowledge, innovation, and international alliances to accelerate solutions with a positive impact.
