As part of the activities organized by the Clipper Stad Amsterdam, we participated in different sessions and initiatives that brought together professionals, experts and representatives from diverse fields to share knowledge, experiences and new perspectives on the challenges of the future.

Raffaele Manchini, Director of the United Nations Collaborative Center for Sustainable Ocean Economy, and Rosina Motilla, Head of Strategic Projects at Fundació Barcelona Capital Nàutica, participated in the session “Building Climate-Resilient Cities. Beyond the Pilot Phase”, a gathering focused on the need to advance toward more resilient cities in the face of climate change, sharing experiences and reflections on how to move from pilot projects to the implementation of transformative strategies. The session focused on innovation, collaboration among stakeholders and the development of solutions capable of addressing current urban challenges.

Additionally, on Friday afternoon we attended an interesting initiative dedicated to exploring technological innovations applied to the world of sports, a space that allowed us to discover new tools, trends and opportunities that are transforming this sector.

The activities took place aboard the Clipper Stad Amsterdam, an emblematic vessel that combines maritime tradition with a contemporary vision based on innovation and sustainability. Built as a large three-masted sailing ship inspired by 19th-century clippers, the vessel measures 76 meters in length overall, has 31 sails and a sail area of 2,200 m². Currently, it hosts voyages, professional events and gatherings that foster connection among people, knowledge and new ideas.

The Clipper Stad Amsterdam also represents a commitment to sustainability, with improvements incorporated to reduce environmental impact and a philosophy linked to respect for the marine environment. This unique setting helped transform the sessions into an enriching experience, combining learning, knowledge exchange and inspiration in a distinctive space.
