Barcelona Clúster Náutico and Fundació Barcelona Capital Náutica have signed a strategic collaboration agreement to strengthen sustainability, innovation, and competitiveness within the nautical sector in Barcelona and Catalonia. The agreement establishes a stable framework for public-private cooperation with the objective of transforming the sector and positioning Barcelona as an international benchmark in the sustainable blue economy.

The agreement defines four strategic pillars that will guide joint actions over the coming years: decarbonization and transformation of the value chain, by promoting technological innovation projects; training and talent development, with special attention to young and female talent; the international projection of the sector through the UNESCO Ocean Decade; and the strengthening of Barcelona Clúster Náutico as a key player on a Mediterranean scale.

With this alliance, both entities reaffirm their commitment to a more sustainable and innovative nautical sector development model aligned with the major global challenges of the blue economy, promoting cooperation between companies, institutions, and knowledge centers to move towards a more competitive and resilient nautical industry.
