Strategic objectives
DCC Activity
The DCC-SOE works to promote and support projects capable of integrating into the actions and objectives of the Ocean Decade.
These include initiatives linked to coastal restoration, nautical and port decarbonization, sustainable fishing and aquaculture, as well as projects aimed at accelerating the transition towards more circular, resilient, and lower-emission ocean models.
The goal is to contribute to an ocean economy capable of generating positive impact, innovation, and new opportunities for development and employment.
This activity is structured around three main strategic objectives:
+ Generating knowledge
+ Supporting innovation
+ Creating multisectoral alliances

Projects
The DCC-OE will promote a Call for Action (CfA) aimed at supporting innovation in the private sector through a global network of incubators and accelerators committed to a sustainable ocean economy.
Global roadmap to drive coastal urban resilience through solutions based on science, data, and the needs of local and regional governments.
The DCC-SOE promotes the development of talent programs focused on upskilling and reskilling, with the aim of strengthening capabilities and facilitating new professional opportunities linked to the ocean economy.
The decarbonization of the nautical and maritime sector constitutes one of the main lines of action of the DCC-OE and its partners.
How we measure it

• number of experts mobilized;
• collaborating organizations;
• supported projects;
• follow-up actions;
• countries represented;
• events organized or participated in;
• activated funding opportunities;
• and socioeconomic effects of the project portfolio.
